Manager - Business Development (In licensing)
Qualification : B. Pharm and MBA (Marketing/Pharmaceutical Management)
Experience: Minimum 10 -15 years of experience
Location: Mumbai
Responsibilities:
* Primary responsibilities for executing in-licensing activities
* Preparation of detailed business case for management approvals including financial analysis of the project and its viability.
* Management of existing and new projects in line with the company's business development strategies and expansion plans.
* Market research to identify new business opportunities, new approvals and launches via in-depth due diligence and business analysis
* Monitor global trends in Pharmaceuticals for new product developments, product innovations.
* To identify global strategic partners, new molecules and prepare a portfolio of inlicensed molecules in line with the business development strategy for the company. Collate country manager’s wish-list and vendor’s product lists.
* Structuring and execution of commercial agreements, negotiating with the clientele on different commercial models. Negotiating commercial and technical deal terms. Executing confidentiality agreement, MOU’s and definitive in-licensing agreements with partners
* Maintain a steady base of suppliers and keeping himself / herself updated about the new suppliers entering the market.
* Ensure the execution across the value chain starting from generating orders to supply of products and payment receipt. Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Regulatory/IP/Quality/ PMO/Legal/Supply Chain) and partner/s to ensure smooth execution and delivery of project milestones post deal signature
* Work with marketing and business teams across geographies to develop and drive the business development strategy.
* Maintain excellent working relation with all the departments for the execution of agreements.
* Strong team worker, analytical thinker, effective in problem solving and solution oriented
* Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
* Keep himself and management updated on the market dynamics and regulatory changes in the market.
* Continuous monitoring and tracking of existing deals for project milestones, business potential, cost overruns and review of business cases in line with business goals
