The role will drive strategic leadership, innovation, and global API & CDMO, playing a pivotal part in our high-growth, backward integration, and regulatory compliance strategy.
Performance Drivers:
1. Strategic Leadership: Set, socialize, and execute a multi‑year R&D strategy that supports Anuh’s growth, backward‑integration, and market expansion goals; prioritize portfolio investments, allocate resources across sites, and drive governance through stage‑gate reviews and performance dashboards.
2. Innovation & Technology: Champion best‑in‑class process and route innovation, leveraging diverse chemistry platforms, green chemistry principles, enzyme/biocatalysis options, and advanced manufacturing technologies (flow, continuous, automation, digital data capture) to improve yield, cycle time, E‑factor, and cost of goods.
3. Product & Process Development: Provide executive oversight from route scouting through lab, kilo, pilot, and commercial scale‑up to ensure robust, tech‑transfer‑ready processes for APIs and intermediates serving regulated, ROW, and domestic markets; embed design‑for‑manufacture, safety, and lifecycle cost thinking early.
4. CDMO Excellence : Lead strategic CDMO engagements for global innovators and generics partners, owning scope definition, IP protection, transparent client communications, CMC package integrity, and on‑time, in‑spec technology transfer to internal or partner sites.
5. Quality & Regulatory Governance : Uphold a proactive quality culture, ensure phase‑appropriate documentation, QMS compliance, DMF/CMC readiness, impurity & genotoxic risk strategies, and audit preparedness across US/EU/ROW regulatory expectations.
6. People & Capability Building: Architect the R&D organization; attract, develop, and retain high‑caliber scientific talent; institute mentoring ladders, succession plans, and cross‑functional collaboration between CSL, ADL, Manufacturing, QA, Regulatory, and Supply.
