We are seeking a seasoned and strategic leader to head Global API Sales across key geographies including the US, EU, Japan, Korea, and Brazil. The role requires a proven track record in building and managing international business, driving revenue growth, developing long-term partnerships, and leading a high-performing global sales team.
Lead overall API sales strategy and execution across international markets (US, EU, Japan, Korea, Brazil).
Drive business development, revenue growth, and market penetration in regulated and semi-regulated markets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with global pharmaceutical companies, distributors, and strategic partners.
Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, strategic alliances, and partnerships to strengthen market positioning.
Collaborate with Regulatory, R&D, and Manufacturing teams to align sales objectives with compliance, innovation, and supply capabilities.
Lead contract negotiations, long-term supply agreements, and pricing strategies with global clients.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to adapt business strategies accordingly.
Manage global sales P&L, revenue forecasts, and ensure achievement of annual and long-term growth targets.
Mentor and guide a team of senior sales professionals, fostering a performance-driven culture.
20+ years of progressive experience in API global sales/business development with reputed pharmaceutical companies.
Strong exposure to regulated markets (USFDA, EMA, PMDA, ANVISA, etc.) and commercial sales in US, EU, Japan, Korea, and Brazil.
Proven track record of handling large client accounts, global alliances, and high-value sales.
Excellent knowledge of API market dynamics, regulatory frameworks, and supply chain complexities.
Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to drive business expansion, profitability, and market share growth.
Qualification: B.Pharm / M.Pharm / B.Sc / M.Sc / MBA (Preferred combination of Technical + Management).
