Experience: Min. 15 to 18 Years in pharma logistics/distribution, 10+ Years leadership

Technical: ERP (SAP/Oracle), GDP/GWP, pharma regulatory frameworks
Team Size: 03 (Direct Reportee) / 25+ People (Overall)

Job Purpose: To lead and oversee the end-to-end distribution and logistics operations for the company, ensuring seamless supply of pharmaceutical products across the domestic markets. The role involves strategic planning, network optimization, compliance, and continuous improvement in the delivery process while managing cost and service efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Transformation & Process Automation
• Drive digital transformation of logistics & distribution operations with advanced technologies for real-time tracking, visibility, automation, and data-driven decisions
• Digitize workflows across warehousing, transportation, inventory management to enhance efficiency & service
Strategic Planning & Execution
• Develop & implement logistics/distribution strategies aligned with supply chain goals
• Optimize distribution network & infrastructure (warehouses, CFA/SS, transport routes)
• Lead digitization & automation of logistics processes
Warehouse & Inventory Management
• Oversee central/regional/field warehouses ensuring GDP compliance
• Implement SOPs for inventory accuracy, stock rotation, cold chain, FEFO/FIFO
• Ensure optimum inventory levels to prevent stock-outs & expiries
Logistics Operations
• Manage air/road/sea transport for timely delivery to partners, hospitals, institutions
• Collaborate with 3PL providers for cost-effective, compliant movement
• Monitor KPIs, TAT, exception handling for service excellence
Regulatory Compliance & Quality
• Ensure compliance with CDSCO, WHO-GDP, FDA (exports)
• Work with QA & Regulatory teams for pharma-specific quality standards
Team Leadership & Vendor Management
• Lead multi-layered team across regions
• Build/manage vendor, CFA, freight forwarder relationships with robust SLAs
Cost & Performance Management
• Drive cost optimization: freight negotiation, route optimization, process improvements
• Track/report KPIs – OTIF, fill rate, order accuracy, transportation cost/unit
